Denmark Begins Conscripting Women

Denmark Begins Conscripting Women

NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) state, Denmark, has started conscripting women. On July 1st, all eighteen-year-old females are now subject to the draft. The new bill also extends mandatory service from four months to eleven months.

This move follows a change to the relevant law made by the country’s parliament a few weeks ago. It comes as NATO, of which Denmark is a member, increases its military readiness, citing a perceived threat from Russia after the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in February of 2022. At the bloc’s summit in The Hague last week, member states agreed to ramp up defense spending, according to a report by RT.

The Kremlin has consistently dismissed allegations of hostile intent toward Western nations as “nonsense” and fearmongering.

The newly adopted Danish legislation mandates “full equality between men and women in relation to military service.” It requires that “women who turn 18 on or after 1 July 2025 will have to… draw a [draft] lottery number and thus could be ordered to serve military service if there are not enough volunteers.” Female conscripts will serve under the same conditions as men.

Why Military Conscription Is Worse Than Slavery

Latvia, which is also a member of NATO, is planning to conscript women by 2028. It reintroduced mandatory service in 2023 after scrapping it in 2006. Norway and Sweden have already implemented gender-neutral conscription in 2015 and 2018, respectively.

The United States has also been looking to force women into abject slavery. Last year, the ruling class made sure to authorize the mandatory drafting of women into war whenever the master demands it.

Conscription of men already set a dangerous precedent, making sure slavery is in full force at all times. Hopefully, human beings will simply say no to being cannon fodder or hired hitmen for their masters.

But another concern is the reason behind forcing more people to be drafted. Are we staring at another big war? Or is it just fear mongering? What do you think?
