Atomic Energy Chief: Iran’s Enriched Uranium May Have Moved

Atomic Energy Chief: Iran’s Enriched Uranium May Have Moved

Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has said that he doesn’t know where Iran’s enriched uranium is located currently. It could have been under attack during the 12-day war, or moved prior to United States strikes on its nuclear facilities.

Speaking to CBS in an interview aired on Sunday, Grossi admitted that “we don’t know where this material could be, or if part of it could have been under the attack during those 12 days.”

United States ruler Donald Trump declared a victory, for all intents and purposes, over Iran after using the military to strike nuclear facilities in the country. He claimed that they were “obliterated.”

Trump: “A Spectacular Military Success”; Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Have Been “Completely & Totally Obliterated”

Grossi has claimed that despite the Israeli-U.S. bombing campaign and significant damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities, Tehran may still be capable of restarting its uranium enrichment operations “in a matter of months.” He noted that the knowledge possessed by Iran cannot be “disinvented,” according to a report by RT.

However, if Iran is holding onto enriched uranium, it wouldn’t take long to get the nuclear project up and running again. And that’s assuming Trump was correct. It would only take months for Iran to continue enriching uranium anyway.

Grossi also stated that Iranian officials had informed the IAEA on June 13th that protective measures were being taken to safeguard nuclear assets. A Western diplomat told Reuters that most of the material at Fordow appeared to have been moved “days in advance of the attacks,” citing satellite images showing trucks outside the site.

Trump has repeatedly denied that Iran was able to relocate any uranium before the strikes, suggesting it was “very dangerous” and “very hard” to do. He also claimed that the Iranians didn’t move anything because they were trying to save themselves from the attack.

Yet Trump also released his plan to attack Iran before it happened warning the enitere globe that it was going to occur.
