TRUMP WINS!

Fox News is projecting Donald J. Trump has locked up Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin to get to 277 electoral votes and will be elected as our country’s 47th president.

Democrats had hoped the so-called “blue wall,” states that have traditionally voted for the party in presidential elections from 1992 to 2012, including three swing states in this election – Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin – would step in to save the election again. But early in the evening, pundits, even on stations such as NBC News, CNN and MSNBC began openly admitting the path to the White House was narrowing for Kamala Harris and then the first domino fell when North Carolina went to Trump.

Shortly after midnight, Harris’ campaign manager made an announcement at her campaign headquarters where he told supporters Harris would not be making any announcements or public statements that evening and would wait until the morning, while adding every last vote would be counted. The scene was reminiscent of election night 2016 when Hillary Clinton’s campaign made the same announcement before Trump went on to defeat her.

Even as Trump prepared to address supporters at his campaign headquarers in Florida, taking the state at 2:25 a.m. EST, NBC News, CNN and others were reluctant to call the election for the former and apparent president-elect. That too was a scene reminiscent of 2016.

Even as Donald Trump gave his victory speech, CNN was still acting like Harris had “possible paths to victory.”

Meanwhile, Republicans reclaimed the Senate, and it looks like the party will also maintain control of the House, giving the GOP a rare opportunity to pass a bold agenda for America. It is expected to be one that will control the southern border, establish proper immigration policies, strengthen the economy and tackle crime while steadfastly maintaining the rights of American’s Second Amendment rights. With support for his election reportedly coming from more young black males, Latinos and young voters than in past elections, it will also be an important time for the party to redefine itself as the party for all Americans and strenghen the divide that has only widened under the current administration.

Meanwhile, NBC noted that Trump was claiming victory while they weren’t ready to call a winner in the election.

(This is a developing story.)
