Have you served in the Red Sea in the past year? Tell us about it

by Vern Evans

We here at Navy Times looking to speak with sailors who have served aboard ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Oman in the past year, those vessels that have played a key role in the ongoing fight against Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Those deployments represent the most sustained combat that any sailor has faced since World War II. And we want to tell your story.

What is your day-to-day life like over there? How different was it from your past cruises? Were you exhilarated by it all? Terrified? A bit of both?
