Trump On Attacking Venezuela: “We’ll See What Happens”

Not long after the ruling class attacked a civilian boat, claiming it was carrying members of the Tren de Aragua gang, Donald Trump refused to rule out more strikes on Venezuela. The attacks on civilians without due process are a war crime, and Vice President JD Vance infamously said he didn’t “give a sh*t” what people think.

Social media influencer and frequent Trump critic Brian Krassenstein, however, said the quiet part out loud. Because that boat was not aligned with any military, this looks like a cut-and-dry war crime. Krassenstein challenged the attack’s legality, arguing that “killing the citizens of another nation who are civilians without any due process is called a war crime.” –SHTFPlan

Trump echoed Vance’s sentiments while speaking to reporters in Morristown, New Jersey, on Sunday. When Trump was asked about the possibility of launching a strike on Venezuela and whether he feared escalation from Nicolas Maduro, he said:  ”We’ll see what happens. Look, Venezuela is sending us their gang members, their drug dealers, and drugs. It’s not acceptable.”

Washington has deployed three warships and about 4,000 troops to the Southern Caribbean, saying the mission targets drug cartels.

The strike followed the deployment of a US naval armada in the western Caribbean last month as part of Trump’s crackdown on drug trafficking. In 2020, a US court indicted Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on charges of leading the Cartel de los Soles, an allegation he denounced as a plot to topple him. -RT

The United States claims it’s stopping the ongoing drug trafficking by removing due process for civilians of Venezuela and has yet to admit to its wrongdoing.

This is more than just a slippery slope. If it’s suddenly OK to kill people who are not affiliated with the ruling class of other nations, we are going to see a horrific and terrible precedent that won’t end well for humanity.
