Benchmade Announces the New Mini Claymore OTF Auto

by Vern Evans

Benchmade has a long history of making high quality automatic knives. With autos being legal now in most states, and the last few falling thanks to the work of Knife Rights, they’re becoming more popular than ever. To feed this need, Benchmade just released another auto geared towards EDC use, the Mini Claymore OTF.

The new Mini Claymore is a double-action, out-the-front automatic. It’s a compact and lightweight alternative to many of the autos on the market. The Mini Claymore has a 3.02 inch CPM-D2 steel double-edged dagger blade, a lightweight Grivory handle. It’s available in Black or Ranger Green.

The Mini Claymore uses an ambidextrous thumb slide to activate the blade and comes with a pocket clip set up for tip down carry. The weight is only 2.97 ounces making this a knife that you could forget that you were carrying. At least until you need it.

The Mini Claymore is made in the USA and backed by Benchmade’s usual warranty and Lifesharp services. MSRP is $350.00.
